‘The World is Always New’ by Thai Airways and Mastercard

It was a stylish celebration of partnership between Thai Airways International, one of the world’s leading airlines, and Mastercard, a leader in global payments and technology company, at the Garden Studio of the new Andaz Hotel. Amidst the greenhouse garden setting, the theme of the evening was ‘new and vibrant’ symbolizing Thai Airways and Mastercard’s vision for the future. The celebration was also the airline’s 58th anniversary.

Nivat Chantarachoti, General Manager of Thai Airways Singapore along with Navdeep Marwaha, VP Business Development of Mastercard, welcomed distinguished guests who included H.E. Manopchai Vongphakdi, Ambassador of Thailand, along with Madame Nitinantana Vongphakdi, and H.E. Karin Fichtinger-Grohe, Ambassador of Austria, among others.

The guests were treated to an array of food and drinks from around the world including Japan, Europe, Western, local, and mango sticky rice especially flown in from Thailand for this occasion; while entertained by saxophonist Daniel Chia who was accompanied by the renowned ‘Ms. Lou’ who sang the theme song ‘The World Is Always New’ and was also the emcee for the evening.

Mastercard’s top agents for Thai Airways were presented with awards by Deborah Heng, Country Manager for Mastercard Singapore. The awardees were Chng Pei Shan of Expedia, Francis Tan of Travel Media, Jae Choi of Travix, Kai Furuichi of Giamso, and Lipsen Wong of Fortune Travel. During the night, Thai Airways gave away 58 lucky draw tickets to the different destinations around the world, signifying their 58th anniversary. Other sponsors for the evening included Chang Beer, the Marriott Hotels, and Resorts World Sentosa.

There were lots of fun and surprises. Everyone went back with a prize. It was indeed a memorable evening for everyone. The program ended with the message – Fly Thai Airways and spends with Mastercard!
