FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE (February 2020. Malaysia) CHT International Awards 2020 lives up to its expectation to recognize outstanding leaders and great organisations have successfully wrapped up its 8th international edition.

For over a decade, CHT International Awards , a biennial event organised by CHTNetwork , is one of a kind award ceremony continues to be an influential platform for both Malaysia and international award winners. The event held at the prestigious JW Marriott Hotel, Kuala Lumpur, 400 local Malaysia and international who’s who including leaders of industries and dignitaries graced this red carpet gala evening in their formal attire. Guest of Honour is Secretary General of Ministry of International Trade and Industry Dato’ Lokman Hakim Ali.

The evening saw 10 “CHT Pursuit of Excellence Awards” , 3 up and coming for the “CHT Emerging Entrepreneur Awards” presented as National Awards to captains from various sectors including education, medical, governmental, hospitality, creative, manufacturing, and property from Malaysia. Not excluding the exceptional successes from abroad, the “CHT International Awards” went to recipients from Australia, United Kingdom, Cambodia and Thailand, with the star of the awards – “CHT Lifetime Achievement Award” – presented to Datuk Seri Michael Chong.

Award winners were presented with the “CHT Eagle” a pewter-made trophy that symbolises timelessness and soaring quest for achievements and attainment of greater heights. “ CHT Award is more than an award ceremony. It’s a platform that holds true to the value of hard work and persistence with a vision to change for the better. Mediocrity holds no seat in this podium and is reserved only for those who we believed represented the best in what they do,” said Ch’ng Huck Theng, founder of CHTAwards and CHTNetwork. “Most importantly, since our first edition, CHT International Awards is all about honouring leaders and organisations that have achieved success in their respective industries and also contributing to their societies. Not forgetting creating a sustainable environment for leaders of today to guide future generations.”

The evening began with a speech by the Founding President of Mr Ch’ng Huck Theng – followed by a ballet performances “The Power of Nature” by Asia Ballet Academy choreographed by Ms. Ivy Chung. Guests were mesmerized by a song by duet Ying and Hang. “The House of MOD” presented its fashion showcase that has specially flown into Malaysian by international award winning couture designer Ho Kok Loong.

Committed to honouring the best and helping the needed, the award ceremony also saw the auction of 3 items chosen exclusively for the CHT International Awards 2020. They include an alluring natural tanzanite and color-change garnet ring by AGL; watercolor paintings by Thailand renowned artist Prof. Dr. Suchart Vongthong and beautiful high fashion dresses by couture designer Ho Kok Loong. Part proceeds from the auction will be donated to charity.
